Our large team treat the full range of leg and general trauma conditions requiring plastic surgery, including scarring and acute and secondary reconstruction in upper and lower limbs.

Supporting the service, our award winning Outlier Services Team provides integrated and individualised care to vulnerable patients who are referred by other hospitals around the region for specialist plastic surgery.

A community based nurse practitioner specialising in tissue viability and wound healing assesses patients in their own home to arrange the specialist treatment they need and supports local community nurses in their continuing care. Using the hospital's telemedicine system, each patient is reviewed carefully by consultant plastic surgeons and admission arranged if surgery is the best course of action.
