Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon
Special interests: Oral medicine; oral ulceration; oral mucosal disease; white patches; management of lichen planus and vesicular bullous disease/pemphigoid; diagnostics for facial pain.
Mr Jeremy Collyer joined Queen Victoria Hospital as a consultant maxillofacial surgeon in 2006. His initial surgical specialisation was orthognathic surgery and the treatment of post-traumatic facial deformity. He currently runs the orthognathic surgery outcome measurement for the department, and provides diagnostic and treatment planning advice for orthognathic surgical patients.
Since 2014 he has shifted his main clinical interest towards oral medicine, and is the departmental lead for this speciality.
He is also the clinical lead for IT in the Trust and on the basis of this also has roles in clinical governance and the management of referrals.
