Suzy O'Hara

Suzy has enjoyed a varied career spanning aviation, healthcare, justice and community broadcasting. After a career as a long-haul airline pilot with Virgin Atlantic, she went on to work as a flying instructor and later trained as a paramedic with the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB). She currently serves as a Magistrate for West Sussex.

Alongside her professional roles, Suzy is a presenter on Meridian FM, the local community radio station, and previously volunteered as a hospital radio presenter at Queen Victoria Hospital. She has a lifelong passion for aviation and a particular interest in safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Supporting people and giving back to the community have been central theme throughout Suzy’s career. As a public governor, she is keen to contribute to the continued success of QVH and help ensure patients continue to receive an outstanding experience.

Outside of her professional life, Suzy enjoys spending time with her dog, Scarlett, who previously worked as a therapy dog in local hospitals.
