Supporting QVH

Some people like to give something back in recognition of the care they, a friend or relative have received or the role the hospital plays in the community. There are a number of ways that you can support QVH.

QVH Charity

The charity funds important initiatives like medical research projects to find new treatments, providing more and better equipment as well as improving patient environments. The donations received make a real difference to the care the hospital can provide to patients who have been devastated by their injuries. You can read more about what QVH Charity has funded in the latest Impact Report.

You can make a donation to the QVH charity, take part in an event, collect sponsorship or leave a legacy in your will. See the QVH Charity website for more details.

Volunteer with us

Volunteers help us provide the best patient care by assisting visitors and providing administrative support. See the volunteering page for more details.

The League of Friends

The League was founded in 1949 to provide additional amenities and equipment for the Hospital and has raised in excess of £3 million from events, donations and member subscriptions. Today the League provides financial support to the hospital for the benefit of the patients and staff.

The AGM of the League of Friends was held on Tuesday 27 September. Unfortunately the meeting was not quorate but the meeting was held as if sufficient members were present.  Steve Jenkin, Chief Executive QVH, attended and made a presentation to the attendees. The draft minutes of that meeting can be found here 27 September 2022. The meeting was reconvened and held on Tuesday, 13 October 2022 and the business conducted at the previous meeting was restated.  The draft minutes of the reconvened meeting can be found here.

You can view the financial statements and the Chairman’s 2022 report by clicking on the respective blue links. Please note this was written before the announcement that work on a merger with University Hospitals Sussex will not continue, which can be seen here.
