Liz Blackburn
Acting Chief Nursing Officer
After qualifying as a nurse in 2001, Liz gained experience in surgical nursing at St George’s Hospital and critical care nursing at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. Liz moved to East Grinstead and joined the team at Queen Victoria Hospital in September 2005. Since then Liz has held a number of roles within our Critical Care Unit and Burns department, whilst also obtaining a postgraduate certificate in research.
Liz has a keen interest in clinical education and is passionate about providing high quality care and giving patients the best experience, as well as ensuring that staff feel valued and supported.
