Julie Mockford

Julie joined the Council of Governors as a Stakeholder Governor in October 2024. As a former employee of Queen Victoria Hospital, she has a strong connection to the organisation and the role we play within the local community.

Julie has served as a Town Councillor in East Grinstead for over eight years and is also a returning District Councillor. During her time in local government, Julie has served as Town Mayor of East Grinstead (2017/18) and Chair of Public Services, as well as contributing to planning and community development initiatives.

Alongside her council responsibilities, Julie is Chair of East Grinstead in Bloom and the Town Action Group (TAG), both of which focus on enhancing the local environment through community projects and volunteering. She also serves on the East Grinstead Town Twinning Association.

Julie is passionate about supporting Queen Victoria Hospital and ensuring the views of patients, staff and the wider community are represented within the Council of Governors.
