Megan Harwood

Megan Harwood began training at Buckingham Chilterns University College in 1999, having placements in Charing Cross and The Hammersmith hospitals. She qualified in 2002 with a DipHe in Adult Nursing.

Megan began working in orthopaedics, but in 2008, when at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, she attended a tissue viability study day and her enhanced interest in wound care and plastic surgery began. She transferred to the plastic surgery ward at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and undertook her BSc in plastic surgery which she completed in 2010.

Megan joined QVH in 2012, initially on Canadian Wing nursing patients receiving elective and trauma plastic surgery. In 2018 she took her post as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, joining the outreach team, and obtained her sharp debridement qualification in 2019 at Kings College Hospital. She wants to continue extending her skills to improve the quality of care she can provide.

Megan enjoys her work and the care provided to each patient being unique.
