Sophie Kirk
Plastics Outreach Clinical Nurse Specialist
Sophie Kirk completed a BSc in Psychology and Anthropology at Oxford Brookes University in 2003, before starting her postgraduate diploma in adult nursing later that year at Southampton University, going on to qualify in 2005.
Following her studies, Sophie worked on an acute surgical and medical digestive diseases unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. She joined Queen Victoria Hospital in 2008, working on the surgical inpatient wards, enhanced recovery, and the head and neck unit. Over the next eight years, she developed the necessary skills and gained experience in nursing patients with complex needs, following a wide range of traumatic injuries, cancer resection and surgical reconstruction.
Sophie joined the plastics outreach team in 2016, and takes huge pride in the ever expanding outreach service that Queen Victoria Hospital offers to patients their families and clinical teams across Kent Surrey and Sussex.
