Jamie O'Callaghan
Interim Company Secretary
Jamie O’Callaghan joined the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Interim Company Secretary in April 2026.
Jamie brings extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management and organisational improvement across NHS organisations. He has held a number of senior interim roles, providing leadership and stability to governance functions during periods of transition.
Jamie’s background is in law, holding an LLB (Hons) from the University of Kent. He has a strong track record of strengthening governance frameworks, improving board assurance, and supporting high quality decision making at Board level.
He is responsible for corporate governance, including ensuring effective information flow from ward to Board and the Council of Governors to support insight and effective decision making. He also ensures the Trust’s compliance with legal, constitutional, corporate governance and regulatory requirements, and acts as the Trust’s Counter Fraud Champion.
