QVH begins recruitment for new chief executive
Friday 15th February 2013
QVH has begun the recruitment process to appoint a new chief executive following Dr Adrian Bull’s announcement that he will be standing down at the end of March after four years in the role.
Dr Bull has accepted a new position as Managing Director of Imperial College Health Partners, an organisation that brings together the NHS, industry, local government and academia to improve health and care for the people of North West London.
In a message to staff, Dr Bull said: “I am immensely proud to have been chief executive of QVH. It is a privilege to serve the people of East Grinstead and further afield who need the hospital’s specialist care.
“I am confident that I leave QVH in a strong position. We continue to be regarded as one of the best hospitals in the country for patient care. The hospital maintains its proud tradition at the leading edge of new technologies and medical advances. And, based on our sound finances, we are investing in a secure future for the hospital with new state-of-the-art theatres and facilities due to open in the summer.”
Peter Griffiths, QVH Chairman, said: “Adrian has done a great job for QVH and will leave in place a strong management team and board of directors that have a clear agenda for maintaining and enhancing the hospital’s reputation and success over the coming years.”
QVH is seeking an outstanding leader with the experience and ability to ensure that the hospital continues to deliver the highest quality, patient-focused healthcare services within available resources.
The closing date for applications is 25 February and interviews will be held on 18-19 March. Subject to a suitable candidate being appointed, it is expected that they will take up their post during the summer. Decisions about interim arrangements will be made after the interviews have taken place.
