Advice to patients with planned operations and appointments
Friday 5th January 2018
Following coverage in the national media saying the NHS may need to cancel appointments to cope with an increase in patients needing emergency medical care, we would like to assure anyone due to attend Queen Victoria Hospital to continue as planned unless you hear from us.
Steve Jenkin, Chief Executive of Queen Victoria Hospital said: “We are working hard to minimise cancellations and to make the best use of our skills and resources to support hospitals around us and the wider NHS. I am very aware that our teams here at Queen Victoria Hospital are working hard and I want to thank them for their care, thought, time and energy.”
If you are due to come to an appointment or procedure and are unable to attend due to illness please contact us via the details provided to you on your letter.
