Gas main works in East Grinstead to run until end of February

If you’re due to travel to an appointment at our hospital from Monday 8 January onwards, and will be travelling through East Grinstead, please allow extra time as essential gas works may disrupt your journey.
Southern Gas Network (SGN) is beginning the second phase of its work to replace old metal gas mains with plastic pipes. The first phase was completed before Christmas and then further work suspended until the New Year.
The following is taken from information provided by SGN.
Phase two – approximately seven weeks
Work will recommence on London Road on Monday 8 January. During this phase London Road at its junction with Railway Approach will be temporarily closed. A signed diversion will be in place for through traffic via A22 Beeching Way, High Street and London Road (and the reverse). Purple shows diversion route.
