Keith Altman appointed as new Medical Director

Keith Altman, who has been a consultant maxillofacial surgeon at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2017, has been appointed as Medical Director providing clinical leadership at Board level.
Keith Altman graduated in both dentistry and medicine from King’s College Hospital, University of London and holds an Award in Medical Leadership (2012) and Diploma of Legal Medicine (2014). He undertook his specialty training at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton and The Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford.
Keith was appointed as Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon to Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust in 1997 and was Deputy Medical Director and Lead for Revalidation & Appraisal 2013-17.

I am looking forward to working with all staff to ensure the hospital continues to deliver safe, high quality and excellent patient care.”
Mr Altman will take over the Medical Director role from Dr Edward Pickles, who has been with Queen Victoria Hospital for more than 13 years and will continue in his role as a consultant anaesthetist.

Mr Keith Altman will take over from Dr Edward Pickles in October 2019.
