Independent Review

In December 2021, NHS England and NHS Improvement South East Region and the newly appointed interim Chair of Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (QVH), Anita Donley, commissioned an independent review of QVH’s handling of challenges encountered in progressing a merger proposal with University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust given the range of views about the future of QVH.
The report has been received and welcomed by the Trust Board. The Board is committed to ensuring the recommendations are acted on effectively, with good ongoing engagement with staff and external stakeholders.
As co-commissioners of the report, QVH Chair and NHSEI have taken the decision to publish the report in full here and the Board will be working with partners to respond to the report as part of the strategic planning for a sustainable future for QVH.
