Arrangements during industrial action – 2-5 October 2023

Our team is contacting some patients with appointments or surgery during the period of planned industrial action by consultants and junior doctors – 7am Monday 2 October until 7am Thursday 5 October.

Industrial action is being taken by radiographers and sonographers from 8am on Tuesday 3 October until 8am on Wednesday 4 October.

Urgent and emergency treatment, including time critical surgery, urgent x-rays and scans will continue where possible. Patients may have to wait slightly longer to be seen, so please bear with us.

The minor injuries unit at QVH will be open as usual from 8am to 8pm. Appointments in some specialisms will continue as usual.

If you have been asked by your GP to come to QVH for a routine x-ray, please can we ask that you wait until after the industrial action has finished and normal service will resume.

We are very sorry if your appointment or surgery has to be moved but thank you in advance for helping us to make these changes at short notice.

Please do not call us, our staff can best work through this if we call you. If we do not contact you to advise of a change to your appointment you should attend as planned.
