Refurbishment work in our Radiology department
Monday 18th March 2024
From today (Monday 18 March) our radiography department is having an exciting refurb. This includes x-ray room 2 being installed with new fully digital equipment so images will be available instantly on a screen. This work should take around six weeks to complete.
While the works take place, if you are a patient or visitor, access to the department will be via Location 47, along the main hospital corridor. The pillared entrance will remain open only for pre-assessment and other patients not attending radiology.
Whilst the works take place you may wait a little longer for your x-ray, but our team will do their best to see everyone as quickly as they can.
We also have a new temporary CT scanner and generator onsite, located outside the therapy department (building 1) for around six weeks whilst our CT room is upgraded and new equipment installed. From Thursday 21 March, patients who need a CT scan will be seen in the temporary scanner. Please book in at Location 47 and the team will tell you where you can wait.
Don’t worry – our staff will make sure that everyone knows where they are going.
