Minor Injuries Unit car park closure 20-22 March

The car park outside our Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) will be closed from 5pm on Friday 20 March, and there will be no parking available in the area over the weekend. This is to enable work on reconfiguring the layout of the car park to take place, an essential improvement required for prioritising patient and staff safety.

If you are still parked in the car park after 5pm then you will be able to exit, but there will be no entry after this time. All access routes to the car park will be closed off whilst these works are carried out. This work cannot be done if there are cars remaining in the car park.

Walk-in access to MIU will remain throughout and its opening hours remain 8am – 8pm. The contractors and staff onsite will ensure that ambulances can access the MIU car park if required (usual processes will be followed) and patient vehicles will have drop-off access but will then need to park elsewhere on site.

The car park is expected to be open and accessible as usual by Monday morning (23 March).
