QVH staff recognised at Buckingham Palace Garden Party

Four members of staff from our hospital were among guests at a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, honouring individuals who make a difference through public service and their communities.

The event, hosted in the Palace gardens, brought together individuals from across the UK in recognition of outstanding service. Among those invited were Mohamed El‑Belihy, Consultant Dental & Maxillofacial Radiologist; Nisa Pinto, Lead Sleep Physiologist and Service Manager; Edline Madzivanyika, Senior Management Accountant; and Rainer Halsall, Site Practitioner.

The colleagues represented the Trust at the prestigious event, which is attended by members of the Royal Family and recognises people for their contribution through their work and in their communities.

Commenting on the event, Mohamed El‑Belihy said:
“It was a great privilege to be nominated and completely unexpected. Sharing the experience with QVH colleagues made it particularly special and a proud moment for the organisation.”

Nisa Pinto added:
“It was inspiring to see people from such a wide range of backgrounds brought together in one place. The sense of shared purpose and collective impact was incredibly powerful.”

Edline Madzivanyika said attending the event was “an honour”, adding:
“The atmosphere was wonderful, and something I never imagined I would experience.”

Rainer Halsall said:
“It was a lovely surprise to receive the invitation and a real honour to represent QVH at such a special occasion.”

This recognition reflects the dedication, professionalism and compassion shown by staff at Queen Victoria Hospital every day.
