Bob Lanzer
Stakeholder Governor

Bob is the West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing and is appointed as a stakeholder governor at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He was first elected to the council in 2010, and his previous Cabinet portfolios have included Economy and Corporate Resources; Highways and Transport/Infrastructure; Corporate Relations.
Bob became a member of Crawley Borough Council in 1988 and is the longest-serving councillor. He was also the first-ever Conservative Leader of Crawley Borough Council from 2006 to 2013.
Previously, Bob studied Chemistry at the University of Leicester. He has mainly worked in information technology with considerable experience in project management. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the British Computer Society, and a Chartered Engineer.
Bob’s interests include chess, where he holds a County Master title, fell walking, travel and photography.
