Janet Hall

Lead Governor

Janet Hall

Janet lives in Outwood and worked locally in the NHS for 20 years, including 10 years managing the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at Surrey and Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust (SASH). The experience from this role provided Janet with a deep understanding of what is important to patients and families, and helped her understand how NHS services function at a local level and become aware of existing inequalities of provision.

After retiring, Janet was as a Public Governor at SASH for 8 years and was then elected as a governor here at QVH in 2023, becoming Deputy Lead Governor in 2024, followed by Lead Governor in 2025. During Janet’s years in a governor role, she has represented the public and successfully contributed to many working groups, visits and other projects. Her experiences have taught her that Governors can make a difference by working with the Trust management to establish a clear focus on improving services for our communities.

Janet’s hobbies are gardening, tennis, aerobics and spending time with family and friends.
