Charlie Robinson

Public Governor

Charlie Robinson

Charlie first came to QVH as a patient back in 1991 after a serious road accident aged 17. Roger Smith, another member of our Council of Governors, was his surgeon at the time, and he also recalls being in hospital with one of the Guinea Pigs, who was having his 30th operation.

After many orthopaedic and reconstructive operations, Charlie attended university in Liverpool, going on to Oxford to complete a DPhil in molecular physiology. He has subsequently worked in agriculture, teaching and more recently back into research for a journalist during the Covid-19 outbreak. Charlie has a particular interest in QVH’s research and innovation agenda.

He lives with his family in South East London, and hopes to bring more awareness of QVH in his local area and encourage others to get involved.
