Senior Hand Fellow
The Senior Hand Fellow post is for a post-Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) clinical fellow with a primary interest in hand surgery for a period of 12 months. The successful applicant will have substantial exposure to hand surgery lists at the hospital with at least one timetabled full day of a suitable list every week. Initially, the applicant will gain experience working alongside each of the hand consultants. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will eventually gain the experience and expertise to manage some lists on their own.
Qualifications: General Medical Council registration, FRCS, FRCS (Plast) or equivalent desirable.
Hand Fellow
The Hand Fellow post is for practitioners specialising in plastic surgery who have experience of hand surgery. The post offers an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance the services provided to the local community. Duties include hand clinic and hand theatre sessions and involvement in teaching and mentoring the specialty registrar grade. In the main, the Hand Fellow will be involved in the work at the hospital but may be required for peripheral outpatient clinics.
Qualifications: Applicants must have FRCS or equivalent medical qualification and trained to Year 5 or above at specialty registrar (higher) level with full GMC registration.
Outpatient clinics are held at Conquest Hospital, Hastings, Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, and Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford.
