Senior Microsurgical Fellow
The post is a non-training post for practitioners specialising in plastic surgery who have experience of microsurgery. The post will also be suitable for trainees who are waiting to obtain a definitive consultant post in plastic surgery having completed training and who wish to increase their operative experience.
The post offers an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance the services provided to the local community. Duties include new patient and follow-up clinics and theatre sessions and involvement in teaching and mentoring the specialty registrar grade. The post is a service post but with part of the week days spent on microsurgical / breast procedures including parallel microsurgical / breast surgery lists with supervisory cover by one of the breast team consultants. In the main the Senior Microsurgical Fellow will be involved in the work at the hospital but may be required in peripheral outpatient clinics, including seeing new patients.
Qualifications: General Medical Council registration, FRCS, FRCS (Plast) or equivalent desirable.

Outpatient clinics are held at Conquest Hospital, Hastings, Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, and Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford.
