Miss Sofia Ahmad
Specialist interest: Orthodontics; facial deformity and hypodontia.
Miss Sofia Ahmad graduated from King’s College Dental Hospital London, with distinctions in orthodontics and paedodontics (1996). She continued in hospital dentistry gaining experience in oral surgery, paediatric dentistry and orthodontics. She carried out her Orthodontic Registrar training at Kings College Hospital and St Georges Hospital obtaining her MSc in orthodontics with distinction from the University of London and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2003).
Sofia carried out her FTTA training here at QVH and Guy’s Hospital London. After obtaining her Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics she was appointed as a consultant orthodontist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury in March 2006.
She receives consistently high praise from her patients for the quality of their care and treatment.

Sofia returned to QVH to join the team as a consultant orthodontist. She is also consultant orthodontist at Guy’s Hospital London where she is involved in the postgraduate training of orthodontists.
Her clinical special interests include the multidisciplinary management of patients with facial deformity and hypodontia.
Sofia enjoys teaching postgraduate orthodontics and has been involved in teaching for the MJDF and is currently an examiner.
